Rockstar Martial Arts McKinney
Rockstar Martial Arts McKinney was founded in 2019 by Head Coach João Pedro "Somalia" Rodrigues and his wife. Somalia is a decorated IBJJF World Master Champion and Pan American Champion who has built McKinney into a thriving training center known for championship-level coaching and a community that makes every student feel at home from day one.

Head Coach João Pedro "Somalia" Rodrigues
João Pedro — known as "Somalia" — is a BJJ black belt who began training at 15 in Brazil and rose to become a 2-time IBJJF World Master Champion and Pan American Champion. He moved to the U.S. to pursue his dream of opening his own academy, founding Rockstar McKinney with his wife in 2019 and later expanding to North Prosper in 2024.
